You are looking at a
FOOTBALL FOR THE FAN book authored and autographed by Iowa Hawkeye / USC Trojan Football Hall of Fame Coach Howard Jones.
Book is published by the Los Angeles Times-Mirror Press back in 1929.  This is an amazing vintage collectible!  He coached so many legendary players like Duke Slater, Aubrey Devine, Gordon Locke, Fred Becker, etc.  He played football at Yale from 1905-1907 and never lost a game in those three seasons. His brother was the great Tad Jones.  He coached at USC for 16 seasons, winning 7 PAC championships, 4 National Championships, and won all 5 Rose Bowls he coached in. You don't see these books very often, and one especially signed by Howard Jones.
Book is in good shape for its age.  Normal wear for that age of book.
