    Description

    Shure Noise Canceling Aircraft Microphone Model 488T
    Incorporates Shure CONTROLLED MAGNETIC cartridge with built in transistor amplifier.  Supplied with PJ-068 phone plug connector.  Microphone is in Working condition, output easily meets published specifications.  PTT output functions correctly.
    Neoprene cord has damage 1/3 the way down from the microphone.  Damaged area of the cord will have to be stabilized or the cord replaced before long term use.  The PJ-068 Phone Jack measures 3/16 inch in diameter - Will not work in standard 1/4 inch stereo phone jacks.
    Tested
    - Microphone amplifier and element biased @ 9 volts DC @ 4.8mA.  Output easily meets published specifications.

    The carbon microphone element and built in amplifier operate with a voltage between 2 and 40 volts, maximum current 35 mA.  Make certain proper polarity is followed, phone plug RING (+) SLEEVE (-).
    Voltage can not exceed 40 volts,
    current can not exceed 35 mA.
